Due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, Apple could not hold its March 2020 event. But it didn’t stop them to roll out awesome updates to the iPad Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Mini. Here are all the details about the price and availability of all the new products.

New & Improved iPad Pro!

The new iPad Pro comes with a new A12Z Bionic chip, it offers the “highest performance ever in an iPad”. The Bionic chip has an 8-core CPU and 8-Core GPU, along with Apple’s Neural Engine. And with all this performance, Apple has still managed to give almost 10-hours of battery life. It also has LTE capabilities that are 60% faster. Sources are also stating that all iPad Pro models will come with 6GB RAM and WiFi 6 capabilities.

The camera on the iPad Pro has also been upgraded, the camera array on the iPad Pro now features a 12MP Wide camera, as well as a 10MP Ultra-Wide camera. The microphone system on the iPad Pro also has been upgraded, it now has five “studio-quality” microphones that capture “super clean audio”. There’s also a new LiDAR camera array on the back. Apple says this LiDar Scanner measures the distance to surrounding objects up to 5 meters away.

The new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro has a “floating design with smooth angle adjustment.” It attaches magnetically to the iPad Pro and features “unique cantilevered hinges” this allows it to adjust up to 130 degrees. The keyboard uses Apple’s scissor-switch mechanism and is backlit as well.

iPadOS 13.4, which will be released on March 24, includes full trackpad support for the first time. With trackpad support given in the iPadOS, Apple has also released Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro. It features a USB-C port on its hinge. “The USB-C pass-through charging, keeping the USB-C port on iPad Pro free for accessories including external drives and displays.”

MacBook Air

The updates on the MacBook Air are majorly based on increasing performance. Apple has doubled the base storage, the new MacBook Air now starts at 256 GB and can be specced up to 2 TB. The processor has also been upgraded. It now features the latest 10th-generation Intel CPUs, which can go up to 1.2GHz quad-core i7.

On the outside, it doesn’t look like much has changed in the design of the MacBook Air. The 2020 MacBook Air now replaces the butterfly keyboard with a Magic Keyboard similar to what Apple debuted in the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Mac Mini Upgrades

Apple has updated the Mac mini alongside the new MacBook Air and iPad Pro. The updates to the Mac Mini are not as impressive as the iPad Pro and MacBook Air, but at the same price, Apple has announced that the standard configurations of its Mac mini will now come with double the amount of storage. The base storage will now start at 256GB.

Price & Availability

iPad Pro: The availability of the iPad Pro in India is still uncertain. But we are expecting it to go on sale in early May. The price will be similar to the current generation iPad Pro.

MacBook Air: Similarly, the MacBook Air is expected to go on sale sometime around next month. The starting price will be around ₹92,500. There will be a special discount for students.
